Bulletin 2024 Week 38

Monday September 16th, 2024

There is a lot on this week. On Tuesday I’ll be hosting EdinburghJS where we will be hearing talks on NX and Volunteering in Tech. Wednesday has an Edinburgh edition of Startup Grind talking about failures. Although the event this Saturday is sold out, check out Makers Gonna Make luma page for information on future events.

Pete published a blog post interviewing Phil on growing a job board. Owain blogged about String interpolation vs concatination in C#. Off the back of my talk on building a personal website with Astro, Ged revamped his Github website and blogged about the experience. I’m really pleased to see this, and I’d encourage anyone who wants to build their own site to just start. Get in touch if you need a hand. I’m always happy to help with advice or code!

In videos: Ljupche just posted on how non-functional requirements will make you into a senior software engineer, Daniel streamed performance testing Nuxt, and Cam talked about how Wasp and OpenSaaS are changing the indie hacker game.
